Many thanks to Miss Mae for the photo.

Many thanks to Miss Mae C. for the photo. These babies went home with Cheryl D.

CONGRATULATIONS to my dear friend Cheryl D.! She finally treated herself to her first pairs of Fluevogs! Accompanied by another dear friend, Mae C., Cheryl D. made her first trip to the Melrose store and left with the Qtees and the Elizabeths (Note: She ended up exchanging the green Elizabeths for a burgundy pair because of sizing.). I have known these ladies since college and I adore that they, too, share a love for Vogs.

A few years ago, I was there to witness Mae C. pop her Fluevog cherry. It was a rare rainy afternoon in LA. Since we were the only people in the store, our dealer (a kind gentleman whose name I cannot recall) basically let us play. She decided on the DeVere in black paisley. That day, I learned that when Mae C. has her sights set on a particular Vog, there’s no stopping her. Those babies are comin’ home! We delightfully celebrated at The Coffee Bean nearby:)

The three of us had been talking about Cheryl D. getting herself into a pair of Vogs for some time now. She scouted the site and took diligent notes of what shoes she wanted to try on. Ideally, we wanted to make it a girls trip. Unfortunately, with me working in Phoenix, an LA gathering of the ladies just wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. Therefore, they had to go without me. Though it wasn’t the same, Mae C. did text me in real time with photos and notes on Cheryl D.’s adventures. Since she’s a lawyer, I love that her decision making came down to: “Will these intimidate opposing counsel?” My response: YES! They will tear opposing counsel to shreds and make you the envy of LawAndOrderLandia. Case closed!

Of course, Mae C. celebrated her birthday with the Chapot in burgundy and the Bunny in navy/yellow. Wa-hoo!

Oh how I love and miss these gals! Cheers to our longstanding friendship and your new Vogs!

For the love of Fluegasms,
